This does not go into detail and is definitely not complete it is more of a simple overview. I actually made this list for myself as a reference to show what’s out there.
Open Source
Gecko
Gekko is a free & open source automated trading platform that connects to popular Bitcoin exchanges. It is written in javascript and runs on NodeJS. It uses TA strategies and has backtesting capabilities.
It’s a great bot considering it’s open-source but it’s definitely not for non-techies or people with a fear of the command-line.
Zenbot/Bot18/Zalgobot
Started out as Zenbot an open-source trading bot but has been rejuvenated as Bot18 aka Zalgobot, basically a successor to Zenbot. For more info check this Medium post.
Commercial
APEX Trader (British)
There’s a new trading bot in town and it’s blazing fast! It’s not just fast, it’s ridiculously fast, not only in executing the transactions, but also the responsiveness of the interface & the insane development speed set it apart from the competition.
Profittrailer (Dutch)
One of the more known bots. It used to be for installation on a VPS only but now they also offer a preinstalled VPS version. Configuring is done via editing a config file, this offers lots of flexibility, easy to copy/paste settings but requires you to read up on the documentation. They have a few strategies and a dollar cost averaging feature & can have the bot respond to Tradingview alerts.
Gimmer
Is still in public beta, has already an impressive feature set, but what sets it apart is that it will use tokens to pay for strategies, rental, sale (of strategies), exchange or rewards. It has a user-friendly interface and is basically an app rather than a web-based platform, it also includes backtesting. And it will have a marketplace for selling/renting strategies. So far their marketing has been more impressive than their product though.
Haasbot (Danish)
This is a rather expensive bot but with lots of intelligent features build in, Inter-Exchange Arbitrage, Insurance & Safeties and much much more, making it the most advanced bot on the market. If you are an experienced trader with a large account this would be the bot to go for. It basically blows the competition out of the water in features. It’s expensive but has all the bells and whistles.
Cryptotrader
This is a cloud-based bot, has backtesting strategies, alerts & notification support but what sets it apart is that it has a marketplace for strategies allowing users to pick and choose what strategy they want to run.
Crypto-php (French/Canadian?)
This is a simple bot (their own words) with support for signals from Mining Hamster and Crypto Quality Signals, it’s not easy to find the other features on their site though. I heard it’s not that bad but it could use a designer ;) An advantage here is that the price is relatively low.
Gunbot
One of the most popular bots, this is an excellent bot however it needs to be installed on your own VPS. Gunbot has excellent TradingView integration that apart from some great build-in strategies adds even more possibilities. Like Profittrailer it requires some config tweaking, but there exists an optional gui for the bot.
Cryptohopper (Dutch)
Cryptophopper is more or less the best entry bot on the market if you look at user-friendliness, hosted solution, it’s price & features ideal for people with some basic degree of trading experience who lack the technical background to set up their own VPS (or don’t want to be bothered with it). It also has the widest signal support of all bots. I’m probably a bit biased here since it’s the bot I’m most experienced with so take it with a grain of salt.

3Commas (Estonian)
Relatively new on the market aims to be much more than just a trading bot, it also wants to be your portfolio-manager, you manual trading interface, bot …etc. It has limited bot strategies but what they have is simple, yet sophisticated and works. I’m a fan. (has a free trial)
Margin (previously Leonardo) (German)
This is not just a bot but a beautiful trading interface which you could use for trading on all your exchanges even if you want to trade manually. If has beautiful charts and orders are executed directly from your app but you can also set it up on a VPS for auto-trading. The visual interface makes it easy for beginners to see the strategies they are trying to set up.

GSMG (Dutch)
New bot in beta, works with the same strategy for their bot as the now-defunct Traderdaddy bot or 3Commas except it’s totally handsfree. You only pick the pairs and GSMG does the rest. If you want something totally handsfree this might be it. You need a minimum of 1 BTC though for this strategy to work well. It’s free to use but they charge 25% of your profit in ETH.
Zignaly (Spain)
A pure signal based bot that has the ability to add your own signals based on Tradingview alerts
Kryll.io (France)
A visual trading bot that lets you make complex trading strategies by drag and drop components.
Apitrader pro
This is a bot that uses several proprietary strategies including arbitrage between different exchanges.
Exchanges with built-in Bots
Pionex is an exchange designed for the trading bot. Great liquidity which aggregates from multiple other exchanges, 5 trading bots built-in, and very low trading fee — 0.05%.
