New trade start conditions added to 3commas

1. Trading View

This is the default start condition of 3commas. Basically, it uses TradingView’s Crypto Screener in the background to determine whether something is a sell/buy or strong sell/buy.

2. QFL

This strategy is called Quick Fingers Luc and uses price support levels called ‘bases’ to find a possible dead cat bounces and effectively allow you to make money in a downtrend market.

More about QLF you can find here:

3. RSI-7

RSI (Relative Strength Index) indicator with length 7

Long bot: it goes long when the RSI is lower than the entered value.
Short bot: it starts shorting when the RSI is higher than the entered value.

More about this indicator here:

4. ULT-7–14–28

UO (Ultimate Oscillator) indicator that uses 7, 14, 28 as its lengths. You can select the time frame and value to trigger the condition.

Long bot: it goes long when the ULT is lower than the entered value.
Short bot: it starts shorting when the ULT is higher than the entered value.

More about this indicator here:

4. TA Presets *

(* the following content comes directly from the docs, I just added links to Investopedia with more background info regarding these indicators)

There are eight presets, four for long and four for short bots. You can change only the working time frame when using these conditions.

1. BB-20–1-LB, Long

BB (Bollinger Bands) indicator. It uses length 20, StdDev 1.

It triggers when the price crosses up the lower band.

More about this indicator here:

2. MFI-14<40, Long

MFI (Money Flow Index) indicator that uses 14 as its period.

It triggers when its value drops below 40.

3. MFI-14<20, Long

MFI (Money Flow Index) indicator that uses 14 as its period.

It triggers when its value drops below 20.

More about this indicator here:

4. CCI-40<-200, Long

CCI (Commodity Channel Index) indicator with length 40.

It triggers when its value drops below -200.

More about this indicator here:

5. BB-20–1-UB, Short

BB (Bollinger Bands) indicator. It uses length 20, StdDev 1.

It triggers when the price crosses the upper band.

6. MFI-14>65, Short

MFI (Money Flow Index) indicator that uses 14 as its period.

It triggers when its value rises higher than 65.

7. CCI-40>0, Short

CCI (Commodity Channel Index) indicator with length 40.

It triggers when its value rises higher than 0.

8. CCI-40>100, Short

CCI (Commodity Channel Index) indicator with length 40.

It triggers when its value rises higher than 100.

Combining multiple conditions with TA

Combining various TA conditions is possible. All conditions link with logical AND, so all of them should be true to let the bot open a new deal.

For example, you can configure the bot to buy when RSI is below 30, and when ULT below 40.

You can combine multiple presets.

Combining standalone indicators and TA presets are possible too.

5. CartelSIGBIN + Cartel Medium

These are basically signals from the respective Telegram Channels, note these do not use the take profit from the signal but will use your own settings.

You don’t need to subscribe to any channel

I believe CartSIGBIN has been renamed to Cartel Medium so I’m not quite sure which one you should pick here but according to the docs, Cartel Medium is no longer returning signals.

For more info:

7. CQS Scalping

This is similar to the previous setup but works with Crypto Quality Signals as the signal provider.
More info:

8. Manually/API (Bot won’t open new trades automatically)

In case you want to open your trades manually or you want to send a buy/sell signal you can use this option. (Advanced)

9. Trading View custom signal (beta)

  • Trading View custom signal: This is a feature which is similar to the one used by Zignaly, a bot we covered earlier

It basically allows you to set up your own trading strategies based on Trading View strategies. A good example of such a strategy would be scalping based on for example EMA crossings.

To set this up you need a Trading View account. We won’t go into detail here on how to set this up as it’s for more advanced users and better suited for a separate article. If you need more info on this killer feature, check out the links below.

10. Hodloo Binance 5% + Hodloo Binance 10%

Hodloo is basically the same as QLF but it’s an independent service that sends out signals when bases are broken. They offer a signal with a 5% below base and one with 10% below base.
